Description ::
Management system here refers to the social responsibility program. Scope refers to the boundary of the system – what it will cover and what it will not. The entire project scope is depicted in the ISO High Level Structure. This project is being developed in phases. Many aspects of the ISO HLS will not be developed in the initial phase.

For individual firms, scope of the management system is largely established by developing a cohesive strategy based on sound vision developed by the company after consultation with the relevant stakeholders and after carrying out a detailed self-assessment of the organization. Hence, the first phase is concerned with establishing the overall social responsibility strategy and identifying gaps concerning where the organization is positioned currently and what it wants to achieve with regards to social responsibility targets and goals.

Value ::
Research shows that social responsibility programs are most successful when they are driven by a underlying vision and sound strategy to accompany it. Social responsibility programs are most effective when organizations can achieve alignment between their overall organizational and social responsibility goals and strategy.
Objectives ::
  • To develop social responsibility strategy based on long term vision.
  • To align overall organizational and social responsibility goals and strategy.
  • To assess the current position and develop a performance baseline with regards to identified goals and objectives.
